Viv was once a promising young singer, but at 30, her music career has hit a dead end, leading her back to her mother’s basement. As a self-proclaimed “Bad Jew,” she unexpectedly finds herself employed as a Cantor at her family’s synagogue. Thus begins a whirlwind journey filled with illicit affairs, psychedelic drug trips, intense family dynamics, self-discovery, and a showcase of her impressive Jewish musical talent. Set unabashedly in Toronto, this delightful tale offers a glimpse into modern Jewish life with all its quirks and complexities.
