Hine Anachnu

Here We Are brilliantly demonstrates the challenges of coping with change, even if one does not have autism. Aharon has devoted his life to raising his son Uri. As a result of Uri’s mother’s mostly good intentions, Uri is about to be placed in a specialized home with others with autism. Aharon decides to run away with his son, fiercely believing that Uri is not ready for an institution and this separation.

The parental bond is explored with sensitivity, grace and humour. This film asks the question about how we as a society care for those with different abilities.
