MONTREAL FILMMAKER EDITH JORISCH FOLLOWS HER GRANDFATHER Georges on his journey to recover the paintings that were stolen from his family in Vienna during the war. Georges grew up in the Jewish intellectual community in Vienna among a family of art collectors, whose valuable and impressive collection included works by Gustav Klimt. After the war, Georges immigrated to Montreal where, 70 years later, he sets out to recover the paintings that were stolen from his family by the Nazis. With a gentle and personal tone, Jorisch creates a beautifully realized documentary.
