Set against the backdrop of the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann, the architect of the mass murder of Jews during World War II, this film draws upon true accounts. June Zerointricately weaves together the narratives of three individuals whose lives intersect during this pivotal moment: Eichmann’s Jewish Moroccan prison guard, an Israeli police investigator who is a Holocaust survivor working for the prosecution, and a 13-year-old Jewish Libyan immigrant. Through their distinct perspectives, the film offers an empathetic and humanistic portrayal, serving as a poignant reminder that shared histories are interpreted and felt uniquely across the globe. Director Jake Paltrow brings a fresh and insightful lens to this iconic chapter of history.
