Code of Conduct

When attending any of our events, please note the following:

FESTIVAL/EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT We want all to enjoy the festival. We pride ourselves on offering our guests unique and unforgettable experiences. With this in mind, we all have a part to play in ensuring that all present are treated with respect. This includes allowing audience members to view a film without disruption and ensuring that everyone experiences a festival free of any kind of harassment or discrimination. VJFC’s definition of inappropriate behaviour includes any form of verbal or physical abuse, the use of derogatory or discriminatory language, any form of harassment, racism, sexism or any other targeted comments which may cause personal offense to anybody participating in the festival and our events. This includes in-person incidents, email communication, and interactions of any kind. VJFC may take action, at its discretion, to address any individual/s or group/s engaging in inappropriate behaviour. This may include revoking passes or access to VJFC events. Please contact film@vjff.org if you believe you have witnessed or experienced a violation of this Code of Conduct and VJFC will work to investigate and address the situation.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY When you attend or participate in any event at VJFF, you are entering an event where you may be photographed, videographed, or otherwise recorded. These recordings may be used by VJFC to promote the festival and film festival society. You hereby waive any claim against VJFC and its designees, and grant VJFC permission to use these recordings, whatever form they may take, without compensation or credit.
