"They waited three long years for this"... After completing their military service, many Israeli soldiers take their discharge bonuses and fly to India where they can finally unwind, by any means necessary. Shot over a period of two years, Flipping Out provides a frighteningly real look at the post-military Israeli culture in India where pervasive drug use takes its toll on the sanity of many ex-soldiers. While some seek refuge in the spiritual and religious guidance provided by the Orthodox Chabad houses, for those who have truly "flipped out" the outside help of Helik Magnus, an ex-Mossad agent hired by families in Israel to bring the disturbed soldiers home, is the only viable option. Intense and eye-opening, Flipping Out exposes one of the lesser known dark sides of the Israeli military.
