Restless

Restless

Summary

A raw, yet tender film about a father and his son and the elusive quest for redemption.

Directed by renowned, award-winning Israeli filmmaker Amos Kollek.

Years after moving to America in order to pursue his fame and flee from the responsibilities of parenthood, an ambitious novelist discovers that no matter how far he runs, his past will always catch up. Moshe abandoned his wife and child in order to seek his fortune in America.

Tzach, his now grown son, discovers the address of his long lost father buried among his mother's paperwork. As the pent up anger of never knowing his father blasts like a cork off a champagne bottle, the enraged young man decides to make contact. Now, as father and son become locked on a confrontational collision course, Moshe is about to discover just how futile it is for a man to run from his true fate.

In comes Tzach his abandoned son, discharged from the Israeli army. A young man he doesn't know and who doesn't know him. A son full of anger towards a father full of guilt. Two strangers on a collision course with one another. Two human beings who somehow belong together, but have to start from scratch. Two restless individuals who might finally find peace.
